The Improper just did a one-pager with photos of a few Bostonian
Hummer owners, who said much the same thing about their, well, cars.
The reporters' overall verdict was that while the Hummer is very
flashy and gets a lot of attention, not least for showing that the
owner has that much cash to blow on a toy, it has drawbacks which make
it really awkward for everyday use. Most seriously, it doesn't fit
well with what people already have on the street (dramatically raising
the pain it takes to find a parking space).
Which may or may not have anything to do with the BeOS...
