Dave used to believe that hypermedia and epublishing might break
the stranglehold of mass media upon modern culture.
Despite the initial enthusiastic response of smut purveyors,
politicians, and religious wackos to his projects, when it came
time to pay the piper, the advertising dollars of traditional
media still called the tunes.
While waiting to discover the "Coden Rule" corollary to the
"Golden Rule", he is abandoning the politicians and religious
wackos, concentrating instead on telepresence issues.
