Other than??? That's like:

"Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?"

I'd like to see Unisys' claims on LZW compression stomped in court...
but even if they were, PNG is worthwhile because it is less bad than
GIF since it has a lossless 24-bit mode and better progressive modes.
There are wavelet codecs that are better in every way than any of
GIF/PNG/JPEG, but that's a-whole-nother crusade.
