whoa. this is the worst that i've ever seen it. i can't tell if
cerf.net is down and caltech is ending up routing all traffic through
an alternate net (ln.net) or if we've been put on a new net recently,
but all i know is that traffic up and down the pacific seaboard is
seeing ~85-95% packet loss this evening, effectively a full-saturation
of all lines. any network operations outside of our local net are at
a standstill. i'm also checking loads on genuity.net, sprintlink.net,
and mci.net and they are all _hammered_ right now. is this
foreshadowing of the end of the web as we know it? please?! he he.
