VisualAge for Java & Taligent

IBM released the first beta of VisualAge for Java last week, but the
announcement only came out today - likely as part of JavaOne.

I've heard that IBM and Sun are working on an unsolicited proposal
to the OMG to replace OpenDoc in the OMA. I hope that Taligent people
are providing input into that process; they do seem to be playing a
much larger role in IBM's Java strategy, which is a good thing, IMO.
