You could always run Linux on a 500MHz Alpha clone. They are now
available with 1MB L3 cache/64MB DRAM/4GB disk for $3500 from a
European distributor called Vobis (sorry Joe K., they haven't been
been bought out by a decent american firm just yet :).
Of course, United probably wouldn't let you lug it onto their planes...
