Legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa dies
at 88. Kurosawa's works influenced almost
every single modern day Hollywood filmmaker
including Speilberg. Star Wars directing was
immediatly attributable to 'The Lost Fortress'.
That and, you remember every single Clint Eastwood
Spaghetti Western ever made? They are all
remakes (ripoffs) from Kurosawa films. Scarface?
Also. I own almost all of his movies, from Throne
of Blood, one of the first 'visual' MacBeth remakes
to Dreams, each of his movies, in my not so humble opinion,
put in place the groundwork for modern day movie-making.
Ransom is a direct ripoff of Kurosawa's High and Low.
