This contradicts my experience. People send SMS, at first because
it's cool, and keep it up because it's non-intrusive (kinda like email).
The down-side is that trying to type text on a crappy numeric keypad
sucks so you really need to use one of the proper interfaces.

Cost is nil, so cheapskates can play too.
