There's a proverb in circulation:
"plant a tree, have a child, write a book"
I'm not sure if code should count as
the book or the tree, but it seems
to suit the general intent.
Does anyone here know the source of
the proverb? I've seen it claimed as
both Talmudic and ancient chinese; of
course, it would be most interesting
if it occurred in both places.
