If it's the conversation I'm thinking of, it was me who started it, by
wondering why Dan (?) had a Toshiba 7020 since I didn't/don't like mine.

I've got a Toshiba 7020 with Red Hat 6.2 on it. Everything works, and
the system is fairly stable. My gripes:
+ the battery sucks (1.5 hours tops)
+ no built-in anything (no floppy, no CD, no ethernet)
+ you can't hook up a mouse without an add-on thingie (which comes
with the machine, but it still a pain)
+ the max resolution is 1024x768 if you want a reasonable number of bpp
+ it has a sucky power switch (it's one of those soft switches, that
doesn't always respond)
There are probably other things I don't like, but that's the bulk of it.
To be fair, it's not a bad machine. It's just not convenient in a lot of
ways (IMHO). If you have specific questions about it, I'd be glad to answer
them...
