Former Apple Computer CEO Gilbert Amelio is preparing a
new book for shipment next year specifically on his
work at
Apple. The new book from Harper Business, On the Firing
Line: My 500 Days at Apple Computer, details Amelio's
culture clash with Apple employees and the problems
Apple's
biggest position holds for whomever decides to fill
it. Amelio
will also officially confirm Steve Jobs' manipulation
of the
board after NeXT's takeover. Amelio will go on a
five-city tour
to promote the new book and go through several
television and
