BEST post in this forum i've read yet on a hot topic (uninteded pun). lots
in the local paper on loss of florida coastline due to rising sea levels.
the biggest immediate change we might see is if the sea ice in the northern
atlantic breaks up. It would divert the gulf stream further south, and the
british isles and northern europe would be plunged into a canadian climate
(longitudinal parity) . this could happen fairly quickly. southern france
(better buy a pashmina shawl!) and spain would become like the north atlantic
coast.
