'Enterprise consulting': recruiters?

Anybody ever heard of these people? My wife just called and
said someone named Aneen [sp?] called her at home, looking for
me (using poor English), and started asking *her* questions
when she found out I wasn't available right away.

(Something I did accidentally has apparently gotten my
CV circulated because I've gotten a lot of these in the
last couple of days. :-(

I realise there's a lot of hunger out there, but a) calling
my home and b) pumping my wife for info (or trying to) strike
me as being pretty bloody unprofessional and over the top..

Or is this normal and acceptable? I called Aneen up and put
a flea in her ear; both my wife and I were pretty upset.
