Slight correction- VA/Java is in beta, expected GA release in the
summer. I just got the beta CD 2 days ago (only took 'em about 3 mos :-(),
and haven't played around much. I think I'll refrain from reviewing/
endorsing it, due to obvious IBM conflict of interest. It is the
first serious commercial Java tool though to support Beans, RMI
and other 1.1 goodies, as far as I know.

Also, if I understood Yobie's complaint, it's his runtime (ie
browser) Java environments that are giving him heartache, not
his build time tool. Of course, some of us believe that these
are eventually merging to become one building/using embedded
distributed infrastructure, but for the time being there is a difference.

Can we get off the techie talk now, and back to something useful,
like slippers? Yes, I'm fixated. Yes, I'm retentive. Wanna make
something of it?

Ron.
