I picked up a new PowerBook 1400 cs to write my book on. Even though after
all the problems I had with my last PB a 540c and losing almost $3K on it,
and swearing I would never, never, ever get another PowerBook, this one is
pretty cool. Of course I've had it for all of a day, but it's screen, a
passive matrix is nice, it's pretty zippy, and it seems well built.

They are available if you look around for under $1700 with a 8X cd.
