Well of course I knew he wasn't talking about TimBL. That was just a silly
bit of "Infinitely Improbable", or at least "Wildly Unlikely", mockery. Sorry
for the confusion. It came of a combination of lack of sleep, reading two
disparate books simultaneously (while temporarily ignoring the other 5 books
I'm reading), one of them O'Rourke's Modern Manners (BTW, "Indoor Aspen lift
lines" is an anagram of "Optional friendliness"), the other on components, and
listening to The Thurber Carnival during my relatively short commutes, not to
mention such other imponderables as getting estimates on repairing damage to
the station wagon due to a freak accident involving a Lexus at a ballet
recital, pausing on the forced, but slow, march to the elimination of VMS
on-site long enough to rewrite the backup procedures to handle some new
wrinkles using obsolete 8mm tape robots, watching the MBone broadcasts of
Shuttle Mission 84 and the people going up and down Rainbow Avenue in Lulea,
Sweden (Rohit hasn't appeared in either), and contemplating the fact that 5
years hence, my folks will be celebrating their 50th, my older daughter will
have graduated from high school, and President-For-Life Gore will have made it
illegal to have an anagram generator that uses a privately-owned dictionary.
Did you all see Scott Adam's cameo on B5?
Cheers,
Wayne
