Live by the market, die by the market... and in between ride the big
kahuna wave of the markets expectations.
For most every field that has a top dog, there is a bottom dog waiting in
the wings to come out and show its stuff. With ebays flutter this week I
would think that other auction places would make a stab at wedging
themselves in the void , of scooping up the biz of at least supplying the
auction junkies with a steady stream on un interupted items to click and
die by.
The thrill of the hunt, the rush of the bid...Its like a roller coaster
online.
On the other side of the coin it would be a wise biz move on the sellers
part to have thoeir items offered up in more than one market. Sure Ebay
is the biggest flea market around these days, but who would not spend a
little extra time to place thier wares on other rickety fold up tables in
the other flea markets cropping up?
These other flea markets should be hitting the lists and methods of
getting thier say in at this juncture. The iron is hot, the otherwise
propserous Ebay lines are closed, and commerace has a way (much like the
net) of find a path from Supplier to Demander..with some pennies in
between for the ones who are teh pathway.
A biz model as good as ebay is sure to spur on competition...i hope.
