So correct!

Unfortunately, the waters are even further muddied. Office 2000 and Windows
2000 both support a feature called "Web Folders". Web Folders first checks
to see if FPSE are supported, and preferentially uses them if present.
Otherwise, Web Folders uess WebDAV.

So, the question remains whether we can get the word out about WebDAV so
that the DAV can start generating network effects. I doubt other repository
vendors are going to add native FPSE support to their repositories...
