Indian Software Exports to Top $3.9bn
India's software industry continues to balloon. Dewang Mehta, president of
India's National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom),
told Reuters that he expects software exports to reach their forecast level
of $3.9bn for the year to March 31, 2000. The 2000 estimate amounts to 48%
growth in export sales over the year. Exports were valued at $2.65bn in the
previous year (CI No 3,694).
