Not much, when you're using the possessive. Bill Gates's foundation is now
the biggest. The Gateses have contributed another $5B. The Gateses's
philanthropy has come a long way. When I was in high school, we would've
written it Gates' or Gateses', but I understand that the style has changed.
I could well be wrong, though. ThomStew oughta know, being a publisher type.
