I dont think it could be said these folks are the sweet sugar throated
larks of a sing song persuaions. Some of them are gravel throated or
screech driven or word spitting..
What do they do? They emote...the breath life into words and make the
listener live that life. Sure the breath may be heavy with camel wides and
stale beer, but the life it breaths into those words is no less vibrant
then if it had been sweetly sung.
You have to ask yourself, Am I looking to heara pretty voice, or am I
looking to hear a song?
