Here's a clue, Stephen: I despise the Republicans more deeply and broadly than I do the
Dems; whereas I generally only like the Republicans on the basis of their fiscal
philosophy, I only generally dislike the Dems on the basis of their fiscal
irresponsibility and the things that motivate it, namely their treatment of everyone as
victims in need of some kind of help. "Program for everybody" is a direct result of a
blanket philosophy "everyone is a victim in some sense." Recognizing that doesn't make
me a Republican.
