Yes! And there's something mesmerizing about watching those rows of
little disks of dough being submerged in hot grease and then coming out as
donuts.
In Charlottesville there's a restaurant called Big Jim's that's
about a block from a Krispy Kreme. They serve a burger platter containing
a half-pound bacon cheeseburger with an enormous mound of fries. Some
friends and I sometimes have the burger platter followed by a couple of
hot donuts.
That's right: I live on the edge...
