OK, I'm much less alarmed now.

Knowing more about the origin of the document helps tremendously. I'll
go back to lurk-mode on this one for the time being.

Eliezer, sorry if I offended you-- your subsequent writing clearly
indicates that you've got some serious credentials and are applying a
considerable body of knowledge to your pursuit.

I still have strong reservations about the the desirability of the
end-goal, as well as the methods, but I no longer believe that the folks
in charge are running a backyard nitroglycerin lab and using hammers for
QA.
