Now this is the way to do data to cellphones. I don't know if I
found TellMe from info. in a FoRKpost, so I'll be brief. It's a
pretty good voice-response system that finds restaurants, movies, and
stock quotes (as well as soap opera updates and horrorscopes) and
reads them to you. The UI isn't bad. When speaker-independent
recognition gets better this will be an even better option than it is
now.

As a random test, I used it to list movies and restaurants in the
random little Maine town that I'm going to be in this weekend.
It recognized the somewhat awkward name on the first go, and was at
least as good as the local phone book (which I don't have here in
CowHampshire).
