The point was that an "agent" no matter how smart and how
well written by the self-described geniuses at MSFT's Adaptive
Systems & Interaction group will never be able to get it right?
[insert comment about smiling paper clips here]
Or maybe you were beta testing their software and MSFT thought
that it was a highest priority that everyone know about their new
secret project and wanted to send it out and make sure everyone
saw it? 8-)
I got an email from MSFT once that was pure spam about Windows'
Y2K readiness. They had deemed it a high enough priority that
they thought they had the right to send it to me even though, to me,
it was a complete waste of my time and a re-assurance that
they have my current email and can disobey my wishes anytime they
feel it's important. I am waiting for one regarding their legal
problems any day now. I don't trust them for an inch controlling
my priorities. I want acces and control of my own information and
nobody else can touch it.
I finally broke down and formatted a new .sig file with all my
numbers and contact information. Rather than dumping all the
information out there for the world to see, I want a little dodot
that walks the person who needs to contact me throught the process
of where to call first, where to call second, when to send email,
when to try AIM, etc. I want this process to be dynamically generated
based on what mode/mood I am in and how busy. Is that too much
to ask?
