I look forward to seeing how the Dish Network two-way works out. We're a
highly mobile society these days. The state of wireless Internet is lacking
to say the least. As to the gyro-stabalized dishes, those are nice, if you
watch TV. I don't. My friend Doug has one on his Monaco coach. It was
about $5000 and that was the cheapie....they go up to about $8500, and all
are encased in a neat, unobtrusive white dome about the size of two
basketballs. It's weatherproof, which on an RV or boat is really nice, and
self aiming, and you get the added feature of satcom too, sattelite
telephone service. He talked to his daughter in Iowa from Vancouver Island
in British Columbia on the satcom one night for 56 minutes. The bill = $510.
Since I'm neither rich nor stupid, I think I'll pass for now. ;-)
