At the close of the market Monday, Ellison's 690 million Oracle shares
were worth $51.6 billion -- a mere $4.6 billion less than Gates' $56.2
billion, 741 million-share, Microsoftian fortune (both men have other
assets, but we're ignoring those for the sake of over-simplification).
