[An interesting new spin on Crit-Link, ThirdVoice, etc. I don't see
how they got the A-list info providers so early in the
chicken-and-egg game, though. Do they scan those pages, RSS'em, or do
it manually? Hmm... there must be signed contracts in place to use
all those logos, though. --RK Fullist at

Annotate.net: Where you go, Information follows
Mission
Annotate.net is redefining the Web customer experience by reshaping
the way content is distributed and empowering users to accept only
information relevant to where they are on the web.
The Annotation network creates clarity and ease for Web users by
providing preferred content and commerce advisors that instantly
serve relevant content to users wherever they are on the web.
The Annotate.net technology (engine and development tools) extends
the content provider brands and drives true customer relationship
management by distributing only relevant content, ensuring high-value
in-context clicks.

Annotate.net is the world's first "Find Engine", a FREE 400K
downloadable browser companion that enhances and simplifies your web
experience. Wherever you surf, Annotate.net accompanies you and
offers, in a separate window, added insights and consumer guidance.
Our network of trusted voices includes CNET, Excite, Gomez Advisors,
mySimon, Rolling Stone, Business Week, Productopia, Merrill Lynch,
and many others. At Annotate.net, our goal is to serve you quality
content in context.
Annotate.net:

2. Provides expert comments when and where you want them
3. Saves time and frustration: you never leave the
web page your on
4. Allows you to confirm information on a site as well as gain
further insights
How Annotate.net Works
After downloading the Annotate Detector, a small 400K browser
companion application, each time you open your browser, the Annotate
Detector opens as well. You decide whether it serves on your desktop
or in your system tray. The detector serves you relevant information
all over the web.
Step 1
Download the Annotate Detector in seconds then learn about your
trusted voices on the Customize page.
Step 2
Go surf. With each new web page, the detector searches for additional
insights from your trusted advisors. The detector lets you know when
information is available.
Step 3
Click on the name of a trusted voice and read selected annotations.
Several annotations may be available for a single page. Each will
open a seperate browser window.
Step 4
Navigate freely within the new window. When you're done the window
will return to the orignal page you were viewing.

Why Annotate.net?
Today the web contains billions of bits of information, but users are
overwhelmed with more clutter, noise and disinformation being added
by the minute. Additionally, there is no way to discern the veracity
or dependability of one subject, product, or idea over another.
Consequently, it is increasingly difficult for publishers to break
through the clutter and drive traffic while providing value-added
information to the customer.
Revolutionary Technology
Annotate.net is a revolutionary new technology that adds a new
dimension to the web experience. The software recognizes the user
preferences along with web site content, and instantly serves
relevant annotations from experts or respected voices in a distinct,
separate window. Annotate.net does not alter or infringe upon the web
sites in any way.
