This Millennium extravaganza promises to be four days of unrivaled=20
luxury. On Wednesday, you'll arrive in Paris for your stay at the=20
Lancaster, Champs Elys=E9es, a member of Platinum Card=AE Fine Hotels,=20
Resorts & Spas. That evening, you will be treated to an elegant=20
private dinner, prepared by Chef Guy Martin, at the world-renowned Le=20
Grand V=E9four, located in the Palais Royal.
Thursday you'll travel to Reims for an exquisite Champagne lunch at=20
the 13th century residence of Thibaud IV Count of Champagne. The=20
evening has been left free for you to explore the romance, magic, and=20
excitement of Paris.
=46riday's events begin as you are chauffeured in a private sedan from=20
the Champs Elys=E9es into the French countryside and through the palace=20
gates of the Ch=E2teau de Versailles. You'll be one of 2000 guests at=20
the historic residence of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, where you=20
will have the opportunity to walk through the castle's magnificent=20
chambers, including the Queen's apartments and the Hall of Mirrors.
The Crystal Castle, built especially for the celebration, will be=20
erected in the palace courtyard. Acclaimed chefs will prepare a=20
gourmet dinner, which will be served in royal style, accompanied by=20
fine wines and champagnes. During the celebration, there will be=20
music and performances by artists and actors in lavish period=20
costumes. At midnight, fireworks will illuminate the gardens and the=20
palace, creating a fairytale setting for dancing under the stars. The=20
New Year's Eve festivities will continue into the new Millennium.
You will begin the year 2000 at a New Year's Day brunch in the=20
intimate dining room of the Lancaster or by pampering yourself with=20
breakfast served in your room. As a closing to this memorable=20
experience, dinner will be at the Restaurant Pierre Gagnaire, which=20
recently received three Michelin stars. Your complete millennium=20
experience will include individually signed and numbered Champagne=20
Taittinger millennium magnums, crystal champagne flutes from=20
Christofle, and other extraordinary gifts.
