OmniSky finally comes to Orange County. My battery constrained
palm now can do 19.2 anywhere in OC. Now I have the Palm
Vx form factor, a sleek CDPD modem and a first class
dial-in client. Their browser is one of the best I've
seen for PalmOS too. Modem, no per byte charges (unlimited)
and 1 year pre-paid for PalmV, Viso, and Jornada runs
at $359.95 which is about $199 for the modem after
rebate and $29.99/month--roughly twice the cost of discount,
fixed location dialups. Highly convenient, more so than
RIM.
