Pud says RealNames is now blocking access to his site. I guess
f---edcompany isn't an Internet keyword? What's interesting is all the
clever ways people have devised to get to the site without their
employers noticing.

Among the tried-and-true techniques are proxying and using variants in
the namespace of URLs. (The second one is particularly ironic given the
latest company doing the blocking is RealNames... :)
On Proxies, part 1:
> Try the following:
On Redirection:
> I think you mean a "re-director", something like, within your web page:
>
> <BODY onLoad='window.location="http:\\www.fuckedcompany.com"'>
>
> But they could still block this URL at their public gateway. So use

On other names in URL space:
> http://www.cnn.com%400x9A3F0800D8960646
> http://www.%66%75%63%6B%65%64company.com/
> http://0330.0226.06.010
On Proxies, part 2:
> oh, there's no shortage of generic proxy-like tools out there. here's one:

> (doesn't work if they're blocking anything with "fucked" in the URL, though...)
On deriving from first principles:
> go home and get the ip using ping:
> 1. #ping www.fuckedcompany.com
> Ping fuckedcompany.com [216.150.6.70] with 32 bytes of data:
> 2. 216 = 11011000
> 150 = 10010110
> 6 = 00000110 (did that one in my head!)
> 70 = 01000110
> 3. 11011000 10010110 00000110 01000110
> = 3633710662

> and there ya have it. it should work. of course, there are 8 other posts

> say we just ping-slam their site. fuck them. realnames.
Apparently the web community still routes around anything they consider
damage. Tough crowd.
