I dunno. I think it's a pretty stupid protest myself, but it gives me a
warm fuzzy feeling to know that someone is doing -something- other than
either being apathetic or raging from behind a computer screen. I had a
college professor once who started the first day of our Fiction Theory
class by running into the classroom and screaming, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE
SCIENCE BUILDING???" He was from the old days when people got pissed off
and displayed their anger. I'm from these days when we get pissed off and
talk quietly to other people who are pissed off at the same thing, yet do
nothing, nothing, nothing about it. Hell, I'd be happy to see a protest
against velveeta cheese nowdays. Anything to indicate that we're not all
cattle. It kind of makes me feel better about being part of a protest
down in Mississippi where not many people showed up. We were protesting
the burning and levelling of several hundred thousands of acres of land in
the Desoto National Forest. That land is now being used to desert warfare
practice. -sigh- I wonder if the pieman made it out to Seattle, and I
wonder who he'd pie if he did. (:

Cheering for the angry people,
