Plus, how are the energy companies going to get the tens of billions 
they deserve in profits if they have to ~pay~ people to do stuff?

Shouldn't all that energy just leap up out of the ground for them for free?

I mean, coz that's the only place energy comes from:  the ground.  Ya know?
