Apple introduced iTunes Match. For a small fee per year, you can get
all your mp3 songs automagically upgraded (and tracked for data mining)
to the highest quality releases, have those pesky apple procurement guys
give real data to the music companies for why they should finally
allow/put their songs on itunes (re: beatles 2011) and it overcomes that
5 machine activation (crap) thing that Apple so failed at.
They did it right with one exception: dating or mallied couples might
not want to "intermingle" their music libraries just yet as only one
gets custody.
