I just recognized it as the essence of the Republican Party line... ;-)

Not that I think guns are bad. Now in the Bay Area, I think there are 
more murders in the news here so far than ever in DC.
All I can think in each instance is that I wish the scared bystanders 
were well trained gunslingers who could take out the cold blooded killer 
before he kills again. Even if it was just with tranq darts, I'd feel 
much better. An aggressor should be scared that every intelligent human 
will respond with like force and not assume that everyone but police are 
sheeple.

In fact, it is clear that the police are not doing their job in some of 
these areas. In areas with chronic problems, there should be constant 
situational baiting of people, money, cars, etc. with instant reaction 
to take these people out.

Just some recent thoughts.
