 From my perspective, theism / deism / fideism of any sort is  
equivalent to stipulating to the so-called Simulation Hypothesis.   
And the latter may well be true;  by some rational, objective,  
probabilistic assessments the likelihood is as large as 1/3.

Nonetheless, I object.  If I'm merely a Sim in the great Sim City in  
the multiversal computer, and the Great Simulator has set this whole  
thing up, then I (largely) contempt for the job She has done.   
Assuming (you all have) consciousness, it would seem there's a larger  
amount of pain (read inefficient resource allocation) than would  
strictly be necessary...  assuming any sort of admirable purpose in  
the whole thing, in the first place.
