[FoRK] A closed-loop train wreck in progress

There has to be, has to, a THEM for US to be us. Who else is it going
to be? NKorea? Nope. Russia? Heck given the way things are going over
there its hard to see there not being some sort fo friction but at
this point it seems WE are their THEM but THEY are not THEM, such as
it was in the cold(er) war. Who else is there? Chavez? I do not that
is "sexy" enough, the back story is not as well built up and its a
little too close to home. Castro? I think that horse has been beaten
on and again is not "sexy" enough, specially when you consider they
have not fallen in the 40 some odd years we have put harsh sanctions
on them (a great point to ponder as you hear bush call for more
sanctions). What about the mess in Sudan? Nope, again the american
populace would have such a hard time getting into the back story it
would not sell as in the time left for Bush to play on this stage.

Sadly the way the stage has been set and the audience readied the Iran
plotline is probably going to be the one Bush attempts to play out
over the rest of this time on stage.

But there is some hope. Consider this. Sylar just got his powers
back. Peter has lost Nathan for real this time. Hiro looks like he is
about to snap. HRG is back with the company (did he do the hit on
Nathan) ...... Heck Bush could well have a real mess on his hands with
this many grief stricken powers running on the ragged edge.
