Everybody sees the world through the lens of language,
story, and metaphor.
There's simply no way around this.
Once, you spoke to your own metaphor for the Universe:
That it is a cold, dark, soulless place. (Paraphrasing.)
That doesn't seem right to me, and it's not how I intend
to think. It's impossible to see "the world as it is;" We can
only do so with thought, word, symbol, reflection, and so
on.
There is creative potential and room for interpretation
in how we choose to "decorate."
It also seems that our metaphors and thoughts impact
our acts, our dreams for the futures, and thus our
futures themselves.
So, ... I hope that answers "why."
