Of course you would think that, because you see mystification  
everywhere.  It's a sort of meta-pathology in whatever this complex

See, there's a problem;  in addition to demoting objective reality to  
epistemological equivalence with the subjective, you simultaneously  
confuse subjective quality with something objective.  "Genuinely  
important?"  That's a purely subjective thing.  It's not subject to  
proof, demonstration, etc.

Fine definition;  and that's the problem.

As a means of establishing any sort of consensual understanding of  
the world, absolutely.  Why?  Because it's dangerous.  Because it's  
inherently fraught with misunderstanding, and inherently tends  
towards being subverted by power-seeking individuals, collectives,  
and memetic complexes for their own benefit.
