I am the broadband Bermuda Triangle

I don't get it. How hard can it be for the opportunists who
are willing to rent and operate payphones to install a
big cheekfull of xDSL at an almost-arbitrary co-loc (say, a
phone booth, if they're upscale operators) and then print
out billing properly?

...ah, and I -don't- mean smart debitcard DSL. One
has to be more tasteless than opportunistic to do that, and
if your company's defined by an ugly color, only that will
let one dominate the trust-free internet.

...no, not that hazelnut-gloss-on-green, either.
