posting latency

I'm not too familiar with mailman, even less so with the combination of
postfix and mailman.

Traditionally, a mailing list leaves the message-id of a message intact
and transparently forwards it.  You can then use the message-id stamp in
the logs to build propagation tables.

If mailman creates a new message, with new message-id, you'd need to
use or modify the mailman logging to log the original incoming message-id
and the new message-id of the reflected message. Then you could correlate
the mailman log, the incoming smtp log, and the outgoing smtp log to 
do a propagation table.
