---Yeah-- maybe this is a bit much in the way of detail, but if we are going to DEFINE a standard and even provide CODE snippets while discussing this standard, we might as well implement a silly little object that one can link/build into one's app to support all this... Would certainly be a trivial thing to build. And there is no reason why it shouldn't solve most of the problems.
