Yeah, but the only fair comparison for the 8500/180 is a Pentium Pro
200, which, by the way, Teledesic is buying for under $3K, loaded.
Gotta love what having some real competition among hardware vendors does
to prices.

I don't want to get into any flame wars by going against the FoRK CW,
but I'd just like to have this message achived with me putting my chip
down on Apple/NeXT being a complete failure and causing Apple's death
and dismemberment far faster than it would have happened otherwise.

With 24 months, Apple's entire installed base will switch to Win97 or NT
5.0.

P.S. And yes, I do live and work less than 5 miles from Redmond, and Bill funds half my paycheck, but I was the Apple Student Rep in college and having switched to PCs, I think I can make an impartial judgment.
