Recommendations for the Web...

Our research group at U.C. Irvine was recently invited to write a paper for
an upcoming issue of Communications of the ACM whose theme is
"Recommendations for the Web." Setting aside for a moment the
presumptuousness of the whole concept (like, who are we to say?), our stab
at this can be read at:

It is titled, "Software Engineering and the WWW: The Cobbler's Barefoot
Children, Revisited."

It justifies many Web capabilities in the context of providing support for
globally distributed software engineering. This paper, in its current
form, has been published as a UCI Technical Report.
