If you want a (longer) list of colors, and RGB values to
go with them, see /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb.txt (or whereever it
lives on your X system). This has around 400 or more names
defined (with RGB values).

You still have to have your window system "do the right thing"
to correct for phosphors (which give somewhat (and sometimes
startlingly different colors), which vary between monitors.
Window systems haven't typically provided the right gamma correction
data to clients (until recently, and many vendors still don't bother
to give the appropriate data).
