Well-annotated *opinion* on (publically available) facts.
It takes time, and some evenings, I sink a lot of time into doing that. Yes,
often simply selecting a story is an editorial decision, but a summary or
context sentence can make something 10x more valuable
Consider Tim Byar's Web900 forward. It was a good selection. I attached a
derisive technical analysis to it,and then it was fit for remailing to the w3
team. I'd *love it* if stuff came in 'preopinionated' :-)
