1) The application is a WORM log. New recommendations are added -- they can't
replace. Old essays, etc, stay, too.
2) EECS admissions admin essentially said: a) you're a fool to apply to only
MIT and b) I rarely suggest reapplying if you didn't make the waiting list
(which is itself 150-long).
You know, if I apply to Urbana, it is the home of NCSA -- I'd still be wired
to the Web community, right?
