J++ 6.0 IDE + JDK 1.2?

Does anyone know how to use JDK 1.2 with the J++ 6.0 IDE?
Is it trivial to do, tricky, or impossible?

I like the J++ IDE because of the autocompletion feature,
i.e., you type foo. and it gives you a drop down box for
all the methods of foo. Is there another (free) IDE with
the same feature? Or even (too much to hope for) a package
for gnu-emacs?
