I don't know about deep, but something entertaining and shallow would be
to take a few weeks worth of logfiles from a busy CVS server, and use them
to make a movie of a transparent globe with flashes of light representing
checkins. If days were compressed to seconds, you could follow the wave
of lights circling the planet...
